A woman bencher, perhaps?

My dear, departed mother. She spent her last precious years as a legal secretary and bookkeeper typing endless replies to endless inane questions from vicious bureaurats who claimed "non-cooperation" no matter how hard she tried to answer them. Then after her death, when she wasn't able to defend herself against their charges, they claimed she had helped my brother loot other people's money. I have personally gone through most of the firm's files and found nothing but honesty and clarity. My brother eventually hired a very eminent accountant who totally disproved the Law Society's ill qualified supposed auditor. To no avail. They weren't interested in truth. Those who go after widows and orphans are low. Those who defame the dead are even lower.

My brother. Driven to an early, stress-related stroke, dragged through a show trial while still recovering, robbed blind and disbarred on trumped up evidence. The audit trail showed NO missing money, NO cheated clients, and NO misbehaviour. Then, besides using the internet and phoning several clients of the firm, they ran ads in two local papers where no relevant clients lived presumably trying to drum up accusations after the fact and bankrupt the firm so it wouldn't have the money for his appeals. An interesting way to guarantee the safety of the public?
